We answer, personally

Routines are stored on your phone. If you turn on backup or sharing, they are encrypted with a key only you hold before they leave the device. We cannot read them.

In the app: Settings → Security → Delete account. You confirm with a one-time code sent to your email and everything is erased. The steps, and a way to ask by email, are on the account-deletion page.

Everyone verifies their email. The ID check is optional and open to parents and sitters alike — completing it earns the green shield, and accounts without it simply show as not verified. You can search for verified people only, at no cost.
